Sound Bites, 11 The Morledge

Sound Bites is a thriving independent wholefood shop which specialises in local, organic and fair-trade food. Located on The Morledge, which links the new bus station area to the Guildhall and Market Place in Derby, the exterior of the shop was in need of extensive renovation. With funding from Derby City Council under the Building Frontage Enchancement Scheme, reinstatement of the shop front was able to go ahead.

The style of the original Victorian shop front was reseached and is reflected in the refurbishment.  The fresh, clean look enhances the appearance of the street and is attracting more trade to the business.  Go to www.soundbitesderby.co.uk for food and fair-trade information.
