Pecha Kucha
Organised by Simon Foote of Simon Foote Architects, Dawn Foote of Katapult and Aleena Naylor of BBC Radio Derby, Quad hosted its first PechaKucha Night in Derby on 24th March. Devised in Tokyo in 2003 and drawing its name from the Japanese term for the sound of "chit-chat", the event invites local creative talent to talk about what makes them tick.
Using a presentation format of 12 presenters using a series of 20 images on screen for 20 seconds each, the simple format keeps the presentations concise and the event moving along.
