This extension to a rural property in picturesque Lincolnshire has created a large, open plan, social space.
The original bungalow was in need of extensive modernisation when first purchased. The design brief was initially to rationalise the disjointed internal layout, opening the property up to the surrounding fields and farm land. The final design doubles the size of the family home, and incorporate new kitchen, lounge, dining and utility areas as well as creating a double garage.
Due to the low lying nature of the site and its near proximity to an adjacent stream the design incorporated a sustainable drainage system to control any future issues with potential flooding.
